You are receiving this email because you have not reset your password since we notified the community of the data security issue affecting MyFitnessPal user accounts. We wanted to let you know that we will soon be requiring you to reset your password. This may result in you being logged out of the MyFitnessPal platform across all your devices until you change your password. This is not the result of a new security issue, but we are taking steps to protect the MyFitnessPal community. Why Are We Doing This? Earlier this year, we notified the MyFitnessPal community that an unauthorized party had acquired data associated with MyFitnessPal user accounts. We indicated that the affected information included usernames, email addresses and hashed passwords. We notified the MyFitnessPal community of this issue so users could take steps to protect themselves. In our notice to the community, we indicated that we would be requiring MyFitnessPal users to change their passwords and urged users to do so immediately. What Steps Can I Take? If you would like to voluntarily change your password, you can do so now. (Once we begin requiring MyFitnessPal users to change their passwords, you will have to follow these steps to do so.) You can change your password by logging into our full site at http://www.myfitnesspal.com. Mobile app users should log in using the same username and password they use in the app. Once you've logged in, click the "My Home" tab, then "Settings," then "Change Password." If you've forgotten your password, you can request a password reset email by clicking the "Forgot password or username" link on the sign-in screen of our apps, or by visiting https://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/forgot_password in a web browser. If you are a MyFitnessPal user who created an account after November 2016, changing your MyFitnessPal password will also update the password you use for the MapMyFitness family of apps (Endomondo registration is separate). How Can I Get Help With My Account? For help with your MyFitnessPal account, please visit our customer portal at https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/emails/new. For more information about the data security issue we announced on March 29, 2018, please visit our Security Issue FAQs at https://content.myfitnesspal.com/security-information/FAQ.html. We understand that you value your privacy and we take the protection of your information seriously. We remain committed to helping our users reach their nutrition and fitness goals, and are here for you as part of the MyFitnessPal Community. |
